RHA has been great for my skill development. Lots of stick handling in tight areas while moving quickly on my edges. Plenty of high speed drills and one on one obstacles that you have to make quick decisions around. Whether you go over, under or around. Even stationary stick work was emphasized while trying to stick handle over sticks and around them. I would highly recommend RHA to any player young or old to try it out.

RHA is a great way to develop hockey players and teach them the fundamentals of hockey as well as allowing them to work on their complete game on the ice. It gives players a chance to learn how to play a whole, no flaw overall game.

What separates RHA from other hockey training programs is the passion that Alex brings to the ice every session. Alex pushes every individual to be the best they can be. He implements a lot of skills ranging from footwork to stick handling drills that relate to in game situations. I can ask Alex to help improve any area of my game, and he will respectfully put effort into making me a better player. Thanks for everything!

RHA is a great place for young, or older hockey players to develop their skills. Not only stick handling, but skating in tight areas is a specialty of Alex. The drills are high paced and quick thinking, with enough obstacles to train your body to keep up with your hands. I really enjoyed working with Alex and it has made a difference in my game.

Thanks to RHA I can work over those parties of my game which I want to improve. In RHA you adopt experience of the European and Russian style of game and it undoubtedly gives you advantage on ice. Most of all I like Shooting & Scoring practice because on them I fulfill end of scoring chances and when I appear in front of the net of the rival — I use the moment.

RHA excellent school with original (unique) approaches to trainings. A huge variety of the European, Russian and North American exercises combining all aspects of game do training saturated, intensive and interesting. Working with RHA you progress, you change the game to the best. Thanks of RHA for an individual approach and professionalism.

Alex has continuously pushed me and challenged me in ways I have never been challenged before. His program makes you mentally and pyshically more prepared for your upcoming season. Constantly practicing important parts of the game such as puck protection, stick handling, edgework, and foot speed. Alex has done nothing but help improve my skill set as a player and I would highly recommend his program to any player looking to improve their overall game.

Dinamo Moscow (KHL)
RHA is the best hockey school that I have trained at. What separates it from other schools is its foundation: a combination of best-of-class European and North American styles. Special attention is paid to the key technical elements, which are often not taught at other schools. Elements such as: edgework with the puck; balance when skating on one foot; effective stick use in one-on-one situations; and learning to make the right decisions, without panicking, in pressure situations. With these learned skills and the player’s own desire to progress and win, the program offers all the tools to create a first-class player.

I’ve been working with Alex for the past 6 years and I credit a lot of my success to him and his skills academy. Alex pushes you to be the best all around hockey player you can be from extremely difficult stickhandling drills to what you thought were impossible skating exercises. Alex always pushes you out of your comfort zone to make uncomfortable movements comfortable. I would recommend RHA Skills to any hockey player of any age who is serious about being a professional hockey player.

I have been working with Alex Ivanov at RHA for the past 3 years. Alex has a unique program that works on all aspects of your game. Whether it’s edge work, puck control, or game situational sessions, it’s done at high speed with extreme intensity. Alex has unlimited knowledge of the game, not only on the ice, but off the ice as well. RHA is different than other programs, he tells you what you need to know, not what you want to hear. You need to have an honest assessment of your game so that you can improve. Alex offers everything you need to get to the next level, he has and continues to improve my game considerably. I would recommend RHA hockey to any player that wants to improve and take their game to the next level.

I have been coming to Canada for several years to prepare for the season. Last year I came to the RHA Hockey and meet Alex. This has been the best hockey program that I have ever attended!
Their individual approach added with components have improved my game. I liked that Rha pay full attention to all aspects of the game: skating, speed movement, technique, puck protection and battles especially under pressure game situations — as this is what happens in reality.
Thanks again RHA for a great pre-season!

Alex has done nothing but amazing things in only one short summer, he has developed my skill set to a whole new level. RHA has me learning new things every time I step on the ice. Alex covers everything a hockey player needs and more. I can’t thank Alex and RHA enough for an amazing summer

I’ve been to countless camps and worked with dozens and dozens of coaches and trainers over the past 12 years, but the 28 days I spent training with Alex Ivanov this spring were some of the most challenging I’ve ever encountered. Alex quickly identified my weaknesses and pushed me far outside my comfort zone, challenging me to improve my skills, my shot, my skating and my training habits. It was very difficult and at times frustrating, but well worth it. Not only am I a better player now, but after working with Alex, I’m much more educated on the things I need to continue working on to improve as a professional hockey player. Thanks Alex!

A big shout out to Alex Ivanov for using his hockey training services to teach me all about the Red Army torture techniques during the cold war. RHA definitely lived up to its slogan, (best spoken with the thick Russian accent of Drago off Rocky IV) — “If he dies, he dies”. Good times!

I have been with RHA for 3 years now. And for 3 years I have not been doing the same thing I have been doing different things every time I am on the ice. RHA has improved me in a lot of things. Since I have started skating with RHA have improved tremendously on my puck control and how to stickhandle while keeping my feet moving. RHA has improved my foot speed on the ice I am more agile on the ice and I feel better holding onto the puck for that extra second to make that good play. From skating with RHA I have improved my game all around defensively at the point but also offensively.

I’ve been with RHA hockey for the last 4 years and I owe all me on ice development to them. My overall game has improved drastically from stickhandling to working in tight areas. RHA challenges you and pushes you out of your comfort zone. I would highly recommend RHA hockey.

I started working with Alex this summer, after just a few sessions I noticed an improvement in quickness on my edges and an improvement in stickhandling. Alex combines skill work with game situation drills which make me more comfortable and confident to use my skills in game. I was recently at the Team Canada U17 camp in Calgary, AB. I was able to make moves and get away from players without thinking about it. Alex emphasizes hard work and competitiveness. I would recommend this program to anybody looking to take their game to the next level.

Over the past 4 years RHA has developed me on ice performance to the next level. Constantly working on puck protection, hands and footwork has helped me to perform at my best. RHA taught me the little things around the net that have greatly improved my scoring abilities. RHA is a high class on ice academy that I would recommend to anyone looking to further their game.

I have been training with the RHA for 4 seasons now and the results are evident. Training with the RHA over the past few seasons has helped improve all areas of my game. From my stride and quick feet to my hands and scoring. The RHA is the place to train to improve all aspects of your game and I highly recommend the program.

As an athlete who strives to be my best, I am always looking for ways to improve my game, on and off the ice. Alex Ivanov of the Russian Hockey Academy has helped me do just that. Every session provides opportunity to practice high tempo drills, challenging edge work and stick handling in small areas. Alex’s focus on speed and intensity with pressure forces me to bring all components of a game together, making quick decisions. I highly recommend RHA.
Steve Pinizzotto

I have been a part of the RHA since my first season of professional hockey. Thanks to Alex’s leadership and experience, my game has improved immensely in all aspects, from skating to puck handling in tight areas. His eagerness to help you succeed and motivation to continue to challenge yourself is evident in all elements of our training. A lot of Alex’s drills are geared toward game-like situations so we don’t lose step in the off season. I highly recommend his program.

RHA provides hockey players the opportunity to improve on the technical aspects of the game. Whether you join clinic sessions in-season or during summer break in preparation of the upcoming season, the goal is the same: to get players in optimal shape, both mentally and physically. The training development consists of both Russian and European styles of thinking and technique, which makes the RHA hockey program unique.
Thanks to RHA for excellent preparation!

Would like to thank Alex for everything he has done. Worked with him every day during the summer going into the OHL draft, which helped me greatly on getting drafted. What I love most is that every session is different but most of all it’s extremely fun. Definitely the best On-Ice instructor in the business.

RHA is one of the better hockey schools around, it has helped me build confidence by combining a North American and European style of game. RHA does not just focus on one aspect of hockey but all parts of the game. Everything from skills to skating to thinking and creativity. RHA will help everyone bring their game to another level.
Matt Lorito
Detroit Red Wings (NHL)
RHA gives players an opportunity to improve their individual skills by combining challenging edge work with creative puck handling and shooting drills. The skating and edge work drills are beneficial towards becoming stronger on your feet and developing greater balance on the ice. The puck handling drills allow players to focus on stick handling while incorporating the edge work simultaneously. The RHA is a great place for players to focus on individual improvement in all areas of their game.

RHA has expanded my skill set and the ability to apply it to game situations over the last few years. The combination of edge work, puck handling and skills has allowed me to take my game to a much faster and higher level. Alex is great at understanding and designing drills that transfer and can be used in every game type situation.
Akim Aliu

RHA is an unbelievable place to go to for skills that are no commonly taught in North America. They have helped me very much with stickhandling edges and one on one play. The North American guy is more based on systems so it combines the European game of skill with systems which is a great combination to become and all-around player
Justin Vaive
Hartford Wolf Pack (AHL)
I have worked with RHA for several years now. Over this time, I have been able to transform aspects of my game to much greater heights while consistently taking the time to make sure the rest of my game continued to grow. It’s a great school with an even better work ethic.

RHA is the best at teaching north American Players European skills that are often overlooked here in north America. It enhances balance and coordination Which makes puck handling and skating easier. Alex is a great teacher and did a great job helping me improve my game by concentrating on edge work and stick skills. He teaches things that were never available for me as a kid and I recommend Alex for your kids regardless of the age. Thanks Alex I’ve enjoyed working with you this summer!

RHA not only helped us increase our speed, improve our stickhandling and better our puck protection, but also helped us increase our scoring efficiency and our playmaking skills and gave us a quicker first step. The hockey level is unmatched by any other training session we’ve been to. Through repetition of skills, with drills that were never the same, we learned quickly and efficiently. The demanded perfection always keeps us focused.
Thank you RHA for helping us become the players we are today, and helping us reach and become prepared for the NCAA Division 1.

RHA has helped my all-around game by combining stick handling, Edgework and proper techniques to make sure I can get the most out of every skate. I find that with the balance of the drills we do with RHA helps me to become the best player I can be on the ice and also gives me a better advantage come game time. It’s a great program and I highly recommend it to everyone from a young age and also guys at the pro level.

RHA has been a major component of my off-season training for the past four years. I am always complimented on the improvement in my skating after my sessions with Alex. Alex provides high tempo drills to improve quick choices and effective moves. Alex had made a significant difference in my performance.
Drake LaFontaine
Sudbury Wolves (OHL)
I have been training with Alex for three years now and in all of those years of training I can honestly say that every time I step on RHA’s ice I learn something crucial and new to help my own game. Skating with Alex really helps me polish my skills and skating but at the same time he is teaching me how to play the game with more efficiency. He improves this by emulating game situations and breaking down the small details that will help a forward beat the defender crossing the blue line for example. All and all I feel very grateful to have found such a great program and teacher to help me get to the level where I want to be in the future and I know Alex is capable in doing so.

RHA has helped me push myself to the next level. The demand for excellence is always present while never repeating the same drill. Thank you RHA for helping me play at the NCAA Division 1.
