About Toronto Stickhandling Camp

Four Zone Stickhandling System

Each day, the ice is divided into four zones, where players work in small groups. Each zone is dedicated to a specific aspect of stickhandling, allowing for targeted practice that sharpens specific abilities.

Zone 1

Foundational Skills:

Focus on core stickhandling techniques including forehand, backhand, and toe drags.

Zone 2

Passing Integration:

Enhance your forehand, backhand, saucer, and hidden passes with advanced stickhandling techniques.

Zone 3

Shooting Integration:

Wrist shots, slap shots, and one-timers, all combined with stickhandling maneuvers and goalie dangles.

Zone 4

Fakes and Dekes (+Skating)

Master advanced stickhandling moves like deking, dangles, and fakes, with an emphasis on agility and deceptive techniques.

Second Hour:
Developing Skills Under Pressure

Aligns skill development close with game performance

The second hour is all about applying what players learned — under pressure, in motion, and in game-like situations. Through small-area games, reaction-based drills, and decision-making challenges, players are pushed to execute skills at speed and with intent. This phase builds confidence, timing, and the ability to perform under real-game stress.

Know your Options. Make Smart Decisions.
