Session Structure.
Elevate Skills, Enhance Hockey IQ, and Boost Confidence.
Our session structure is designed with the primary goal of elevating players’ competencies, by making them not just them with technical technically equipped, but also deepens game understanding, and builds confidence. By integrating moderated pressure level direct competition and full contact game situation drills, we ensure players are game-ready, combining technical prowess with the mental toughness needed for competitive success.
PART 1. Moderated Pressure Direct Competition.
Every skill and technique taught within the context of real-game situations. This approach ensures that every drill, exercise, and session is directly relevant to the dynamics and demands of competitive play.
- Focus on Skill Application: Unlike traditional drills against static obstacles, this phase involves direct competition against other players under moderated pressure. This approach emphasizes learning and applying skills in a dynamic environment, mirroring real-game interactions.
Refining Skills with Tactical Awareness: Players focus on refining their skills with an emphasis on understanding spacing (gap control), stick work, and interpreting the behavior of their opponents. This segment is designed to enhance players’ tactical awareness and skill execution without the full intensity of a game situation.
PART 2. Full Contact Game Situation Drills.
- Adoption of Skills to Actual Game Play: Building on the skills and understanding developed in the first part, this phase transitions into full-contact drills that simulate actual game situations. This step is crucial for integrating learned skills into real-world application, ensuring players can adapt and apply them under game conditions.
- Improvement of Decision Making Under Pressure: The intensity of these drills is designed to replicate the pressure players will face during games. It challenges them to make quick, effective decisions, improving their performance under stress and enhancing their overall game intelligence.
