Power On-ice Performance.
Accelerate Skill Development.
Our Off-Ice Program targets the physical foundations that directly impact how players perform on the ice. By developing key athletic qualities—like strength, balance, speed, and coordination—and refining movement patterns unique to hockey, we help athletes move more efficiently, react faster, and execute skills with greater precision. This focused off-ice training bridges the gap between mechanics and skill, accelerating player development and giving them a real edge when it matters most.
Better movement = Better performance.
Build the Foundations That
Elevate Every Hockey Skill
This program boosts the essential qualities behind elite hockey performance. By improving how players move and execute skills off the ice, they’ll return to the ice faster, more confident, and with sharper decision-making.
Physical Qualities:
Build strength, balance, coordination, and power to support every movement on the ice.
Skating Mechanics:
Sometimes on-ice drills alone fall short because underlying movement issues remain unaddressed.
Puck Control & Shooting Technique:
Develop faster hands, deceptive movements, and a more powerful, accurate shot.

How the Program Works: Daily Structure & Progression
Each 90-minute session is built around two focused training blocks, designed to work together for maximum transfer to game performance:
Block 1: Athleticism & Hockey Mechanics
Block 2: Puck Control & Shooting Mechanics
Daily Focus: Build to Perform
Each day follows a carefully structured progression—starting with essential movement mechanics and advancing toward dynamic puck control and shooting under pressure. This method ensures players don’t just develop skills—they own them, understand them, and perform them confidently in game-like scenarios.
Day 1
Foundation First
Block 1: Athleticism & Movement Mechanics
- Focus: Master the Hockey Stance Blueprint – posture, knee-to-hip alignment, and balance under load.
- Goal: Build a strong foundation for all skating, shooting, and puck control movements.
Block 2: Puck Control & Shooting Mechanics
- Stickhandling: Dribbling technique – soft hands, range of motion, and hand separation.
- Shooting: Efficient mechanics – grip, body alignment, and clean release setup.
Day 2
Power Transfer
Block 1: Athleticism & Movement Mechanics
- Focus: Weight transfer and single-leg load – build balance, power, and edge control from the ground up.
- Goal: Improve lateral drive, shot power, and movement stability.
Block 2: Puck Control & Shooting Mechanics
- Stickhandling: Toe drag mechanics – loading zone, shoulder control, and reach.
- Shooting: Weight shift & load into the shot – hip-to-stick energy transfer.
Day 3
Stride Optimization
Block 1: Athleticism & Movement Mechanics
- Focus: Stride mechanics – extension, recovery, hand-leg coordination.
- Goal: increase skating efficiency and explosive first steps.
Block 2: Puck Control & Shooting Mechanics
- Stickhandling: Receiving & quick-release flow – control passes and shoot in motion.
- Shooting: Catch-and-shoot, one-touch mechanics.
Day 4
Change of Direction
Block 1: Athleticism & Movement Mechanics
- Focus: Lateral change of direction and reactive footwork – develop quick feet, coordinated upper-body fakes, and clean transitions.
- Goal: Learn to change direction explosively while maintaining balance and recovering into a strong hockey stance.
Block 2: Puck Control & Shooting Mechanics
- Stickhandling: Combine fakes, direction changes, and deception.
- Shooting: Shoot in stride – pull the puck into lanes, adjust angles, and release while maintaining skating momentum.
Day 5
Game Transfer
Block 1: Athleticism & Movement Mechanics
- Focus: Movement integration – reinforce all patterns
- Goal: Build repeatable, game-ready motor patterns.
Block 2: Puck Control & Shooting Mechanics
- Shooting & Stickhandling: Combine stickhandling and shooting with deception moves, fakes, and shooting through screens.
Shedule & Registration
To maximize results, the Off-Ice Performance Program is scheduled before or after on-ice camps, creating the most effective environment for skill acquisition and performance development.
While combining both programs delivers the greatest impact, athletes can also attend the off-ice program as a standalone option.
Select your player’s age group below to view the available program schedule and registration options tailored to their level.
